The young Croatian soprano Nela Šarić has already performed with various orchestras and prestigious conductors throughout Europe and the US. In 2016 she was a Finalist at the Zinka Milanov Competition in Rijeka (Croatia), and was also awarded 2nd Prize at the International Otto Edelmann Singing Competition at Schlosstheater Schönbrunn in Vienna, produced by the University of Music and Performing Arts, Vienna.
In November 2016 she made her Japanese debut as Musetta in La Bohème at the Sendai Concert Hall, in a production conducted by Maestro Lorenzi Tazzieri.
Currently she is completing her Masters Degree in Advanced Vocal Studies at the Wales International Academy of Voice in Cardiff, where she works with the renowned tenor Dennis O’Neill and world famous soprano Dame Kiri te Kanawa, soprano Nuccia Focile and many others singers, conductors and vocal coaches from all over the world.
In the summer of 2015 she performed the role of Musetta with the International Opera Studio in Gijon, Spain, under the baton of Jose Gomez.
Nela graduated in 2011 from the Zagreb Academy of Music (MA), where she sang the role of Bastienne in Mozart's Bastien et Bastienne, as well as Clara in G. Gershwin's Porgy and Bess. As the representative of the Academy of Music, Nela Šarić made her debut with the Zagreb Philharmonic orchestra in 2009, performing Mozart's aria Ch'io mi scordi di te?.
Nela has actively participated in masterclasses held by distinguished artists like Raina Kabaivanska, Annemarie Zeller, Larry Allan Smith, Benn Schollum, Mary Logan- Hastings, Helena Lazarska, Judith Kopecky and Guillermo Rozenthuler.

Countertenor Matthew Shaw makes a debut at the Deutsche Oper Berlin in the world premiere of Aribert Reimann’s L’Invisible at Deutsche Oper Berlin on October 8, 2017.
