The production is a cooperative production with the Innsbrucker Festwochen der Alten Musik and Norske Opera & Ballett Oslo. This modern interpretation of an ancient literary work opens on the 10th of August 2017 and will be performed under the baton of Maestro Alessandro De Marchi and directed by Ole Anders Tandberg. Further performance dates include the 12th and 14th of August 2017.

Sumi Hwang will sing Norina alongside Sehoon Moon’s Ernesto in Gaetano Donizetti’s Don Pasquale, whilst Beate Ritter made a successful festival debut singing Zerbinetta in Richard Strauss’ Ariadne auf Naxos. The remaining “Don Pasquale” performance will be on July 21st 2017.
