Soprano Sumi Hwang Sings the Anthem at the Winter Olympics in PyeongChang!

Sumi Hwang had the great honor of being invited to sing the olympic anthem to close the opening ceremony of the PyeongChang Winter Olympics on Friday, Feb 9th. The New York Times wrote about her appearance: “Arguably the star of the night, the opera soprano Sumi Hwang helped close the ceremony with her rendition of the Olympic anthem.” Sumi returns to Bonn this week to continue singing performances of Susanna in W.A. Mozart’s Le nozze di Figaro at Theater Bonn on 14/23 February, 2/18 March, 14th April,5/12/17 May, 1/10/30 Juni 2018.
